  • The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), designed for children between 3 and 12 years of age, is regarded as one of the best educational curriculums in the world
  • As an EAL teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing the academic and personal growth of students
  • As the PYP encourages students to be free thinkers, independent learners and curious human beings, you will help guide children in their initial academic years
  • Your teaching role will involve guiding children to develop a global sense of awareness and a broad system of core values
  • Understand and contribute to the PYP by focusing on the development of the student, as a whole. Help them become socially conscious young adults and give them the skills necessary to take on the world
  • As an EAL teacher in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) (designed for students aged 11 to 16) you’ll help guide and shape tomorrow’s leaders and intellectuals
  • Encourage students to become creative, critical and deeply reflective thinkers
  • The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge and also aims to help students transfer their new skills and knowledge into the real world


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or above) & Teaching Qualification
  • At least three (3) years of full-time teaching experience (preferably in an international school)
  • A proven ability to develop and nourish working relationships with colleagues, students and parents
  • Educators who are truly passionate about teaching and want to make a sustained impact on their students’ education

Compensation and Benefit

  • Monthly salary is based on qualifications and experience – Starting from 16,000 to 40,000 RMB

COVID-19 & China border updates

Borders in China reopened to foreigners in Summer 2020. However, with increased COVID-19 cases in Mainland China, the number of visas issued has decreased and schools are having great difficulty hiring outside of China. There are only a very limited number of schools who can obtain a PU letter and get a work visa. Contact us to see if you are applicable.

If you are already in China, your start date could be as soon as a few weeks. Salaries for teachers inside China are highly competitive so contact us for the best-paid teaching jobs in China.
